As the creator of the design, I automatically have the copyright to the design. Since I am acting on behalf of the client, I will submit the final and completed design to my client for commercial and personal use. I reserve the right to use the design as a reference for my work as a graphic designer. If the client has any objections, I ask for timely consultation.

For the final and finished design of the new company logo I create for my clients, they get the right of use and copyright of the design, provided the following points are taken into account.

The customer’s desired design must not already be trademarked by other companies. This should be checked by the customer before the design request. I assume no liability for this.

I create designs according to the customer’s wishes. If the customer wants a design which is already copyrighted or trademarked by other companies, I do not check this. Therefore I ask the customer to do this check himself. I do not assume any liability.

According to www.urheberrecht.de “There is no database in Germany that can be used to check the copyright for a logo or design. Instead, it can usually be assumed that most creations from the field of applied art, meet the necessary criteria.”

It is up to the client to trademark the design. I do not undertake this task.
